The project is inspired by the relationship between place, time, memory, affect, and understanding of Malmö as a city based on these themes. We have been interested in everyday and intimate experiences of the city from the 1960s from the perspective of older residents. Through workshops with older Afro-Swedes during the spring of 2024, stories and memories about love, parties, community, activism, and cultural production have been shared. The stories have contributed to a new map of Malmö.
